Dakota Roberts is an emerging artist from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
After briefly studying at the University of Oklahoma, she transferred to Roger Williams University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Fine Arts.
Dakota’s artistic approach is eclectic; while her mixed media pieces are her primary focus at this time, she experiments with various mediums and subject matter. She believes in pushing boundaries and avoids confining herself to a specific style or medium, continuously challenging herself with new subjects and techniques.
Her current mixed media works are showcased at Blue Sky Art Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. She also participates in pop-up artisan markets across New Mexico. She has participated in several group art exhibitions, including "Cages with Lions" at the Herreshoff Museum and a display at the Bristol Art Museum in Rhode Island. Recently, her piece "Self Portrait Multicolor" sold during the Women’s 2024 Show at Ghostwolf Gallery in Albuquerque. Also, three of her art pieces were accepted for display in the Senses exhibition at Art Mozaik on Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM.
Additionally, Dakota has had two solo exhibitions one being at the Starbucks in Santa Fe Plaza and at Blue Sky Art Gallery located inside the Loretto hotel. She also had one of her art pieces featured in the August edition of the Santa Fe magazine.
